An article processing charge (APC) is required for all articles accepted for publication in the Diabetes & Metabolism Journal. The standard APC is USD 1,000 for original articles, uninvited reviews, and brief reports. For industry-sponsored articles, the APC is USD 3,000. Invited reviews, editorials, and letters to the editor are exempt from APCs. Payment must be completed prior to publication. The editorial process will proceed only after the payment method has been confirmed.

The Diabetes & Metabolism Journal offers waivers or discounts to authors from countries classified as low-income by the World Bank (https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519/) as of July in the year preceding submission. Authors requesting a waiver must contact the editorial office (diabetes@kams.or.kr) at the time of submission. To ensure editorial impartiality, editors are not informed when a waiver is granted.
